So how did a native of Scotland with a background in Salmon Farming end up in South Georgia selling real estate?
I was born in Scotland and worked in various professions before becoming Sales Manager for a Multi-National Salmon Farming company based in England. My husband’s job brought us to the States in 1991 and we built our home in the small town of Hiawassee in the North Georgia Mountains. While volunteering with the Chamber of Commerce, I was approached by a Real Estate Company with offices in both Georgia and North Carolina to act as Office Manager. It was a natural progression to get my Real Estate License which I did in 1996.
In 2000 my husband and I decided to take a year out. We sold our house, put all our furniture in storage, bought a 40ft sail boat and took off for the Bahamas! It was a wonderful experience. We met so many interesting people with the same passion for sailing.
I came to St. Simons Island in 2002 to visit a friend and fell in love with the Island. It’s beautiful oak trees, golf course, fabulous restaurants and just its complete natural elegance.
In 2011 I teamed up with my fellow Realtor® Kay Love. Together we will work diligently to meet the needs of both buyer and seller and do so with moral character and ethical practices. We would be delighted to help you make your dream to own a home in The Golden Isles a reality.
