Julie Martin is an eight year veteran as a Realtor in the Golden Isles of Glynn County. Having started her real estate career in a down turned economy, she has proven herself successfully by earning not only numerous professional designations but several achievement awards as well including Life Member, Circle of Excellence. She continues to build her business through referrals and enjoys being an excellent resource on the pulse of the coastal real estate market.
Julie is also the cofounder of Signature Squares of Brunswick, a grass roots non-profit dedicated to the renovation and preservation of Brunswick’s fourteen historic squares laid out in 1771. She has been instrumental in contributing significantly to the revitalization effort of both the downtown and residential areas. In doing so, she has earned local, state and national recognition for her community service in highlighting Brunswick’s history through its historic squares. Further information can be obtained by visiting www.SignatureSquares.org.
More recently, Julie was elected to serve a four year term as a Brunswick City Commissioner. Perceived as an “energy charged go getter” who stays the course, she is challenged with bringing a more vibrant vision to the waterfront port community by building upon its unique coastal charm and wonderful historic assets.
As a twenty year resident of Glynn County, Julie left Atlanta in 1995 and enjoys the breezes off the East River with her family in a Second Empire home built in 1870 on Hanover Square. One of the most rewarding decisions she made when her children were very young was “pulling the plug” on television! Her adult children are now fully engaged in life.
